Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Evening!

Good to see you, @Gobi! Hope all is well...ribs apart! Bike incident?

What: 20 mins as planned.

I have been to today's destination, in the summer of 1975, so fifty years ago. My car broke down about 100k away from the city in question and was towed to a garage in the city. The clutch had gone in my Imp; the mechanic opened the bonnet to find no engine, much to his consternation. Rear engine, of course.

The insurance company put us up in a hotel whilst it was repaired, which took ten days as there was difficulty getting the part, unsurprisingly. It coincided with the city's wettest period ever; we were fortunately sitting pretty in our hotel whilst many camping nearby were flooded out, and by then all the hotels were full.

Enjoy tomorrow, @Velociraptor , @Derby Tup , and anyone else pinning a number on.
