Nice one, Meglet :-)

The spit and sawdust gym is £25 per month and £5 per session. At the moment I’m going once per week - at most - so not a member (much to the manager’s disappointment). I’d need to know I was going to stick with it long term before I’d switch over to just this one.

PT got back .... 10 sessions £350 or if I could scrap the money together (I think I will start saving!) 20 for £600

no need to pay for gym and he would give me plans for home

will definitely sort something out

a year at the gym with no help is £380

He's not that close by but if I run/walk commute twice a week as I have been then the money/petrol saved would be what I use to see him so no extra cost as such!

I think that's pretty good

Pix - sounds like a lot of dosh. But it should be great value for what you will gain from it.

I'm lucky I pay £282 per annum and as much help and advice as I want.

When I first had sessions with him 14 years ago he charged me £35 an hour so he's kept the same for me as I keep going back
he used to do sports massage for Leicester county cricket club
and trains semi pro triathletes (having won Iron distance triathlons himself as a pro)

You won't be making any excuses at that price. You'll want to have 100% value for money.

Sounds very reasonable, Pix, I should tell my PT that’s the going rate!

I thought it was RH
especially as he's not just a gym PT if you know what I mean he trainers runners and triathletes so has experience of those who train and compete rather than just go to the gym

ION I did some core work this morning :-o

I had an odd moment when I couldn't actually work out the opposite hand leg thing and kept moving the same side only! I had to actually concentrate in what limbs I was moving.

I think I was doing them right in the end!!

I also did some planks and was shocked that I couldn't hold them very long ... I never could but I'm back to square 1 which is to be expected I guess!

Only issue as such was that I did this first thing and body wasn't impressed with doing core work whereas it's been OK with run/walk and strength

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
