I heard that the winner stole it from no. 2 by a sprint finish, and this is confirmed in the results. Amazing doing that course in average 6.XX minute miles all the way around.

A race of 32.4 miles & only a second seperated the first 2!!! That must of been an awesome race between them.

Very exciting race this year, Brian Clough didn't run (did he start?), Mike Feighan was down at 8th, good old Tango was out in front then sadly didn't finish and a newcomer won it on the corner 50 yards from the finish.
Steve's going to be my personal support crew next year. I'm bringing a bodyguard...

The Fetch lady cheering you on was Lisa my OH. Luckily she was there for me at 21.5 miles when I dropped out. I didn't have rain proof gear, was soaked through, very very cold and having problems moving my fingers.Apart from that , I was fine!! Now I know what to expect, I'll nail it next year!

Cheers M06, and to Lisa, she was great encouragement, could you pass on my thanks?
It was very very cold out there, was very tempting to mug a few marshalls for their rain jackets Well done on getting so far.
I'm so glad you don't have photographic evidence of the little terrier........

sorry to hear that you had to drop out, moore. I would've been in bad trouble if I hadn't had another layer to put on around the same time, plus gloves and hat.
Next year I guess we can expect baking hot sunshine and temperatures in the 30s with humid still air! Who knows?!
