I could have gone for 12 Maltesters or 12 chocolate sprouts but we did chocolate yesterday. I even have a picture of half of the 12 drummers drumming from the 12 days of christmas in the next street (because it's on a gate which was open when I went past it was hard to get all 12 in a single shot!).
But following the news yesterday that my favourite womens cycling retailer is closing down I've gone for 12(ish) vixens on the base layer I wore for this morning's turbo session. Since the pandemic started we've been trying to support local businesses (particularly cafes and restaurants at the start, but increasingly also independent retailers) and it's a reminder of how much that support is needed.
Thursday is a WFH day when I usually do my long midweek turbo session, this week it was a "pacing workout" and although the instructions didn't specifically say so, the name made me think that I should probably turn erg mode off and control power with my legs/gears. Tbh on the turbo it's still pretty easy in that once you've worked out the right gear you just need to keep the cadence steady and power stays in the right place, although in the longer segment I did end up changing gear to be able to lower my cadence a little as I couldn't quite hold the cadence I'd managed in the shorter segments. Another tick in the plan.
And then more Adriene - because I restarted a few days before the 30 day started that takes me to a 7 day yoga streak
I found the source of the cheese - my uncle in America
Mystery solved

I was a runner. I discovered bikes. I didn't run a step for several years. And now I'm running again. Not much, but it's coming back...Profile | Blog | Other Blogs
