That calf injury might have been a good thing in terms of not letting me get carried away with running too hard. I've finally worked out how to do nice easy recovery runs which lets me fit them in on easy days. I wasn't actually sure about going out today as my legs were definitely a bit sore, but they felt much better after some yoga and mainly upper body/core strength work, and I needed to look for a wreath...
I went back to W5D1 of C25K which was the next session I'd have got to if I hadn't had to stop. 3 X 5 minute runs with 3 minute walks. That felt like it would be about right, and it was. I kept the runs as easy as I could, and my legs feel better now than when I got up.
I did find some wreaths but nothing particularly blingy so I decided to see what I could find in Ilkley this afternoon. Yes, we actually went out looking at bike packing stuff like tents and sleeping bags in alpkit
Nothing as blingy as I hoped but this was at least a bit different to the standard wreath on a front door.
