MiL delivered the goods as always: a pot stand that BiL holds up as a halo and calls himself Zio Santino. Never fails to have the kids (now 17 and 14) in stitches.
Surely the prize for the shiniest wreath.
Round and about Genova was harder. I went to all the main centres and even the big department store but despite straggly, plastic greenery draped with reckless abandon everywhere, no sign of a circular version. I was searching ornamental doorhandles and scuplted masonery but only on entering the atrium of Palazzo Ducale did I get a result.
Of course, on return, I found one on MiL's front door.
And here is one I laid in the cemetery for my dad before leaving Caithness.
The show had frozen solid and I could not get it to come off.
