I stopped to look at these trees swaying in the wind this morning, you don’t have to go far here to find nature but sometimes it’s those pauses to stop and smell the roses that make all the difference to the mundane of everyday life!
11 days into March and I haven’t really had much to blog about! I feel like I failed in February! I set myself 3 ‘things’ and then ended up not managing to follow through with any of them!
So let’s not look at what I didn’t manage, I still managed to get out running every day and then I ran 2 x50kms for the first time ever.
This week I’m vaguely tapering a little thinking that I might push my long run a little further on Saturday! Of course if I’ve written it here that will mean I’m going to need a good excuse if I decide to cut my run short, I think the biggest thing will be boredom! I will either run laps of the same route as last time, which works well for locality and being able to call at home for snacks, or I pack all my snacks and run further afield! Although that could be problematic for loo stops!
I run in kms with my Garmin but have my Fetch training recorded in miles which I kind of really like! I was over the moon this morning to see Fetch record that I’d hit 800 miles. I then put my kms into a spreadsheet on my laptop, which is set up by my husband to convert my kms into miles for me to input into the End to End mileage submit thingummy for my Route 66 Virtual Challenge, this is what I got:
So then I take a look at my Garmin recorded monthly kms so far....1287.8 threw it into a google converter and got 806 miles! So 800 ish miles it is then 😂
Spent lunchtime watching episode 2 of series 2, Grayson's Art Club (coincidentally the theme this week was nature)! I’m bursting with wanting to be more creative in my craft room but I really need to tackle the ‘stuff’ in the room before I can properly relax and get on with anything! I’m just going to keep chipping away at it until I get there! A bit like a marathon or ultra!
