Windsurfin' Susie It's getting better and better for me. I commented 2 weeks ago that I'd knocked 2 mins off my 10k time in the space of 2 months. Well, the rate of improvement continues, having just knocked another 34secs off in the space of 2 weeks.

It was windy, I got stitch again after 2km, but the stitch eased and I was better at the end. I had a right tussle with 2 team mates and out-sprinted the one to finish a whisker ahead of him. Our top lady was 2 mins ahead, so I had no girls to race against. Not a negative split but very close: 21:30 at half way.

My legs felt like they could go faster, but it felt like my lungs couldn't get any more oxygen. Is this usual to be limited like this? Maybe it's just a perception thing, but my heart rate wasn't high: my max is 173, but the highest it got was 160 and the ave was 155. Here's some splits:

1: 4:09 140bpm
2: 4:14 153bpm
3: 4:20 154bpm
4+5: 8:45 156bpm
6: 4:15 157bpm
7: 4:20 157bpm
8: 4:26 158bpm
9: 4:22 157bpm
10: 4:13 157bpm

so better paced than 2 weeks ago.

Minor blood sugar crisis on my return home, despite 500ml of Rego, but I feel better now.
