Ran the 10 Km off very little training in the last four weeks. The pad at the base of my right foot was causing discomfort and numbness in the ankle region along with pain up the outside of the right leg and hip. Two weeks off then 4 runs one week and one run the week of the run. Started off at a steady pace and kept it going. About 5km in the 50 minute pacers overtook me however I thought I was about 20 seconds inside the target. About 9km point I passed the pacers by and they were shouting they were about a minute ahead of schedule which proved about right by my time. Kept the stride up and was delighted with my time. It felt cool with a steady breeze. Good run in the circumstances.
