Clarenden Marathon

19 miles started puking. After three times over next mile stomache felt better but then got stitch where had to walk a long way. Eventually dissapeared. Felt drained of energy after 19 miles right through to end.

Could have been the caffeine pills or too many gels.

Summarised that I took too much nutrition for the speed. Ok on an ultra but not a marathon for me. More jiggling about with nutrition needed.

Pretty hot too.

Need to get fitter, if going to do Brecon40. 4:15 should have been easy but I couldnt do it.

Planned 9:30 average was still there at 16 miles then slipped back quickly. 20th mile should have been a 10 not a 15.
