Notes & Comments

Beveridge Park 5k race.
Another PB in the last race of this summer series. Wasn't particularly confident given my preparation tonight - I only made it to the start line with minutes to spare so no proper warm up. Had sprinted from home so out of breath as race started and didn't feel too happy. Got boxed in a little at the start but made a break for a gap which developed in front of me. It took until after a full lap before I started to feel comfortable. I crossed the finish line after one lap in about 10m50s so knew I was on for a decent time. I had followed Dan1006 for a while and passed him as we went along by the tennis courts, expecting him to stay with me but he didn't seem himself tonight. Last month he did the race in 18m33, this time it was 19m35s.

Fairly confident that if I can keep my training consistent I should go well under 19 minutes at Giffordtown later in the year, maybe even get close to 18 minutes! Finished 19th out of 54.
