Notes & Comments

Resolution 15k in Richmond Park: Perfect race conditions, cloudy and chilly but most importantly, dry! I began quickly and lost my fellow runners and luckily, Danny, who I had only met that morning, caught up with me and we ran a good 12k together. We both struggled up the two hills of note but the rest of it was well paced and at 10k I noticed a time of 53.30 which was much quicker than I was anticpating. At the 13.5k mark, I went into overdrive and finished strongly recording a very pleasing 1hr 13m (unofficial). That's 7 minutes quicker than I was hoping for and it felt so good to at last record a time that reflected the amount of training I'd put in. I then had a humungus roast at O'Briens in Brentford and an afternoon nap was well and truly deserved. This will go down as one of my favourite races ever ;-)
