Notes & Comments

Blackpool Marathon.

Didn't like the course. Set of at 3.35 pace and was good to half way, then it was literally a flipped switch.
Breathing went crazy (no inhaler), felt really sick from 14 miles so no gels/fuel from 15 miles to finish for fear of puking.

Was really warm day, so I'm sure that didn't help. Head down to finish and just scraped under the original GFA time. Even as much as a disaster that it felt, still a 5 min pb and I have my GFA so can't be all bad.

Very questionable thoughts along the way re: how on earth I'm going to do Edinburgh, Chester and Kent!!

It wasn't pretty! Passed Tony at 20 mles, he shouts "ONLY 10k to go". Lol! Not doing that one again, awful second half of each lap (undulating along coastal path and rubbish surface). Hope you enjoying holiday :)

Still good running. Time to enjoy & practice UMP * during Edinburgh & Chester in preperation for the Kent 52 I think. (* UMP = Ultra Marathon Pace). Enjoy this week. You did well.

Skins are magic (well, mine are 2XU brand)! Legs totally normal today. Think will do Edinburgh at slow range LSR pace and Chester at UMP - will probably be all I am capable of, lol.
