Notes & Comments

Haverhill 5K - disappointing end to the season. I was feeling in the mood for a PB. Well judged opening 2 miles, despite being lower down in the field than expected. Overtook one in the final mile and looked like I would pass another 4. My surge came to an abrupt end with a stitch. Without Tirunesh Dibaba's recovery skills I coasted home and lost two places. Finished behind Stephan, Haverhill's Longy and a young lad from Newmarket all of whom I beat in Cambridge.
