Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

what a terrible run; almost quit. I knew my bowels would not hold up when I woke up and they didn't. Queues to the loos by the time I saw them were too long, and I thought the end was near enough to manage to crawl back. Was very VERY disappointed as I ran at a comfortable pace once the stomach pain kicked it, nonetheless I received lots of smiles from the runners heading out as I was heading back by cheering them on to try and not think about stomach/bowel pain. Came in top 1.5% still of all women so I guess given the circumstances I did okay, especially since I ran well below race pace for second half . But I really did want to cry at the end, I was so so upset with my body. I ran at an average pace which was below my "take it easy" kingston run, where I took in the sights and enjoyed myself....and my 10K was a whole minute slower than my last 10 mile split. Oh well, if it happens, what can you do, just glad I finished.

Plus is that I now know my 10kish pace from the first half of the race, and have now entered British 10K to run around the same area...much much faster to make up for it.
Please wait... saving your change.
