GVRAT complete! It’s the end... but the moment has been prepared for. Snap belt all ready for that buckle. Convenient yellow gate located, route planned to hit it just right (you’re imagining the extra loop I had to throw in to get it right). 635 miles, 105 days (I started a day late), 6 miles a day, 600 run at 9:46, the rest walked, mainly around Harlech.
Looks quite likely I really will have a 50 mile race in November, so I need to start prepping for that now; May, June and July ended up being the largest volume months of my life, but it’s all a bit unfocused - not enough trail running or enough long runs to prep for NDW50, not enough speed work to prep for anything shorter. I’m off to Therfield tomorrow.
