The White House Garden parkrun 2/2

Pushing wheelbarrows full of gravel round to the allotment must be good training. Despite feeling sluggish, this is the best of my three garden parkruns so far. It might also be my penultimate one: the garden makeover guys got in touch to say they would be in a position to start work after next weekend. I had rather expected they'd be unavailable for a lot longer. This also makes my new, customized parkrun T shirt something of a five minute wonder :-) It arrived while I was running and Fiona handed it over when I was at the end of lap 32.

Today we made great technical strides: I'd figured out how to get the fitbit to record laps but still had my pencil and paper as a backup. The downside was that, by hitting the lap button at the end instead of the finish button, fitbit fiddled its thumbs for 5 seconds or so while it showed me the lap stats, which added 7 seconds on before I could use the finish button. Must remember that for next time. Fitbit still thinks it's half a km short, which is frustrating.

The improvement in time is likely to be because it was cooler than before. Or I'm getting the hang of all the sharp corners.
