Notes & Comments

Quite a good day at the office for the SGA Yetis in Öpfingen half marathon and 10k. Dad and his new protégé Leni finished first in 1:41:26ish, which earned dad 2nd in V65 and Leni 1st in U20. I didn't go all out because London is calling in 8 days, finished in 1:46:39 which was still good for 1st in V35 but only 22 seconds ahead of the 2nd. Norbert beat his prediction by 2 min and finished ahead of me in 1:43 something. Mum had recently returned from injury and bagged 2nd in V60 in the 10k race in 57:44. Linde improved on her result from last year and won her first trophy as 3rd in V45 in 47:16. Markus was the fastest yeti over 10k in 39:04. Overall a very successful day. It's great that my old triathlon club from the 1990s has found a second life as a running group and I'm happy to run for them as second claim when running in Germany.
