Notes & Comments

Well that was fun. And successful! Relay leg 2 at Jeburgh 3 Peaks ultra. Andy did a good 1:16 for first 10 miles, then this leg for me made up a 5 min gap to the first relay team, Phil overtook them to do his 11 miles in 1:40 fastest for the day and gave us a 14 min lead that Craig extended to 19 mins overall with a 1:15 for the last 10. 5:11 for the 38 miles, first team, first to cross the line a couple mins ahead of the ultra winner. And Harmeny got first ladies ultra team too, and Damo second overall, Karl 11th, Lindsay 19th in 6:02 in his first ever ultra and another dozen Harmeny finishers - 25 of us overall? Great day out!

I did OK pace wise on a very technical trail along riverside, down and up steps, muddy, slippy (in wrong shoes - thought it was road!) Pushed on when I thought a relay team was behind me and made up good time on the team ahead that I didn't know until I finished! :-) G
