The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I wasn't sure how this would go as I had a bit of a cold and had been drinking lager the day before. But I had a plan (9:40:9:45 mm).
I stuck to that for the first 8 miles or so. The water stations were chaotic so you can see where they were. I just took them as an opportunity to walk for a few paces. I used my running mantra - the same 4 words over and over. So when it got tough I just focussed on the words. At 18k I knew I was on for a pb so just kept going. I was slowing down at the finish until Carol C shouted very loudly at me at 21k when I miraculously found a burst of speed. Overall, very happy to have done a massive pb.
It was a nice course with lots of support
But my recollection will be there were lots of downhills so where were the ups???
