That was hard work. A screaming downhill start, a steady climb, a flat, slippery, woody bit, a bridge with a Muddy Plunge of Death and a bastard uphill finish. Someone said to me after the race that a course like that builds character. The character it builds is a spiteful, misanthropic, evil, twisted sod. Legs now trashed. They have the consistency of jelly. I'm going to bed for the rest of the day. (It was still really good fun.)
