Recovery Run
6.7mi
00:46:39
A recovery run after yesterdays race. Was a little sore this morning as yesterdays 10k was the most explosive run of any form I have done since Octobers marathon. Felt good and just what I needed.
Long Run
13.5mi
01:28:18
Went for a long run to get some mileage in after the race on Saturday.Still feeling a bit sore.
0mi
An easy sprintl session with the Troggers.I held back after a full on weekend.Still a bit sore after the race and the LSR.
Steady-State
6.4mi
00:45:00
A run with RFRC tonight.A teady enjoyable run of just over 10k.Nothing too strenuous
4mi
A gentle jog of 4 miles down to coaching at the TAC.
Week 2
Race Pace
9.1mi
00:55:04
A very encouraging race pace run.It seems the 10k full on race and the LSR from last weekend have been the catalyst needed to kick start my marathon training. There are only 14 weeks until London and todays run was a real tonic.I felt good all the way and it was comfortable.Funnily enough my 10k split was only 23 seconds slower than my finish time from last Saturdays race and I felt very relaxed and good. Encouraging.
Long Run
16.3mi
02:11:09
A good LSR with Matt.He finished after 10.3 miles and I carried on to do 16.29.Slow at first with Matt, but I picked up the pace for the last 6 miles. No problems or niggles etc. Good to get the mileage up to nearer 20.
Week 3
Race Pace
10.3mi
01:02:06
Another pleasing race pace run ,splits,19 mins-5k:37 mins-10k: this is spot on for my marathon pace.No real problems. It was quite blustery with a head wind going out.
Long Run
17.3mi
02:11:49
Very good LSR.I ran with Matt who striggled a bit today.Fist 8 miles were very slow the next 9 were quick.Finished off very quickly to turn this into a fast finish LSR.This should be really beneficial.
