Tilty Hilly 5 Very pleased with this run. Target was 34 mins and well inside this. Despite hilly route, set new PB. Not sure how hilly course would be, or how best to run tactically. With significant downhill from start, it was tempting to blast off! I decided to stride out, but not push, the downhills and try to maintain momentum on the ups. In this way I steadily moved through the field from c. 2 miles. Surprised to catch up with TM-S c. 3 miles. Ran just behind him until 4 miles and then passed him heading down to the junction before the last big pull up to the finish. Could happily have stopped half way up the last hill but knowing how close the finish was there was no way that I was going to. Pushed it all the way to the line. Beating TM-S for the first time, I was second Stortford finisher behind RB. Garmin 32:45, started as I crossed the start line; official race time 32:47. 31st of 200.
