Notes & Comments

So my 9 or 10 miles on Sat were split into 3 x 5km so I could enter Dr K cup! However, didn't need to as Fetch was automatically scanning your training for the day for your fastest 5km section. Oh well, a bit of fun! Lovely to think of Fetchies past, Dvorak reminded us that Spikeyboy of course died just a few weeks ago. Very sad. I found a great route, parked near side of Lochore, ran to cafe, past mine shaft then up through field of cows on to The Avenue. Along to far side of Harran Hill then further up on to Bennarty. One 5km stopped up the avenue - even though it was partly uphill, this was my quickest, cos I ended up chatting and blethering to folks on the other ones! No matter, only for a bit of fun! Bennarty Ridge was spectacular, on way back over Harran saw a red squirrel. Tried to take a pic and video but rubbish. Def a red though. A coupl of deer too earlier on way up. Then back round loch, a bit short at car park so back up to road, bumped into Sarah H from club and had a chat. Great morning. Then off to get Mum and out to Balgeddie House for her birthday lunch which was nice. Sad not to be able to see any other family for October birthdays - sis, son, other sis, bro in law etc. And maybe not Christmas either is looking most likely. Slobbed in front telly from 5pm - saw rugby league challenge cup final then Heineken European rugby union final - Exeter beating Racinng 92 by just 1 point right to the death. Brilliant game. Good to see Scots Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg and Hidalgo Clyne (can't remember his first name) and Johnny Gray in action. Maybe others. I did a wee run on Sunday, so comments on that one separately. :-)
