London 3:51:31 chip. 4 gels bfast cereal banana and malt loaf 60mins before
remember hydration!
Notes for myself really (for next marathon...)
The good.
Sponsorship support - this has blown me away.
The race organisation - amazingly efficient.
The course and course support - never seen anything like it.
Up to 20 miles I held my pace well.
The bad
The noise volume of support got overwhelming after 3 hours - there is only so much cockney "Cam on Peet!" i can take. Whist I was so appreciative of the amazing support and atmosphere, I struggled with the noise.
The ugly
I think I hit the wall (mile 18), either due to lack of hydration, over optimistic target or because I didnt prep well in the last 2 days (lots of travel race expo, relatives, stress of trains etc). Proper wobbly leg and cramp stuff. I drank .75l (3 bottles) of water at one water stop!
Start: Mostly Cloudy, 11°C, Feels like 11°C, Humidity 65%, Wind 11mph from WNW
