I hope this is private coz that was a fucking awful day. Everything went wrong (11 hours to get to a 3.5 hour race and back) The race organisation was suspect at best and I had a miserable time the whole way round. Started to pick up untill got ankle deep in mud and water at about 5 miles, chafing, pain in feet from there on. Big ITB problems 18 miles on and moved into hip, last mile was a crawl, stretching ITB every mile from 11 on, burning in toe tendon as well.

On the plus side, wasn't knackered really, easy had another 6.2 in the left leg and general fitness but I can't hop it! Marshalls were v good.

And as it's private, shit journey up M1 closed, shit car parking, delays everywhere, really shit toilets, miissed the start by ten minutes, another ten to get sorted, last off, caught first back marker at mile 2 or 3, 5 booties , finish in muddy field, inexcusably disgraceful showers and changing, 2 mile queue to get back on to M1, M1 closed southbound, got back at 5pm.

Will I go back to Beford event again? Will I fuck.
