_andy Great weather for a scenic tour of Denny and the environs. Ran well for the first 5 miles, but had a bad last mile and missed out on a PB by 15 seconds. The Garmin got the course as 6.22 miles, so it was 250m longer than last year's route - so much for a soft PB course. The Garmin also got 700ft of ups and downs and eventhough it exaggerates a bit, there are quite a lot of ups and downs. Quite a lonely race in that I ran almost all of it on my own and couldn't find a group to tag on to: 21st place.

Debstir It was always a bit 'touch and go' whether I was going to make this race today - glad to report I did! First time running this since they moved the start, and changed the direction of the route. Prefer the climb at the start, rather than having to run up the road through Dennyloanhead at the end! Just missed out on a sub-50min race (watch time) so a bit gutted, but still fastest 10k time for me this year.

Duggie W Used as warm up for Chicago next Sunday. Aimed for nice easy 48 minutes and was right on track at halfway after 5km of going mostly uphill. Second half was nice and easy with most downhill so came home well ahead of target. If I'd known course would maybe have slowed a bit on first half. Potential course for a PB i think.

Dvorak Outside target but did all right. Modified course just over the 10K. Neg split by about 90s (the first half is tougher). Numbers maybe a bit down this year? Though a bright clear, dry day and just a bit cold, displayed Denny/ Bonnybridge in all their, er, ordinararyness. Had no finish today, but could could have kept going at almost that pace - which is just what I need for my HM. Saw Debstir, BigSteff and_andy, who all semed to reasonably enjoy their runs.

jamesstewart13 Last race before Toronto. Just a training run so no bets, unless you want to lose your credits... UPDATE: Decent wee run, ran a 24:30/22:03 split. Second half of the race is nice and easy. Good last training race before the Toronto Marathon.
