Baza Good run, conditions suited me - even although I was 'burst' by the last two hills of the last lap. 4 minutes quicker than previous 2 years over the same route. 3rd counter for the team who finished 16th overall. Excellant run from John Newsom to finish 3rd, gave Mark P a run for his money.

bedlam_g Went far too fast on the first lap totally knackered for the next two and spent the rest of the race getting overtaken by what seemed like the entire field. Found the conditions really tough going but pleased with my time just not the way I achieved it. Laps 15.05 15.57 16.12

Boab Had a no bad race today, even managed to neg split the last lap, which is unheard of!! Muddy and very windy in parts, but enjoyed the race. Splits were 14:44, 15:00, 14:38. Just under 6 minute miling, which I think is a first for me on XC!!

cake muncher Placed 94th. The cake-loading diet appears to be working! Hampered a bit on the 3rd lap by a big blister on my heel caused by those shite Inov-8 shoes.

ChrisU Didn't enjoy this race due to running with very sore right ankle and foot. Surprisingly was only 4 seconds slower than last year, although was about 20 places lower down the field than I would have hoped from recent performance at National Masters.

daviec Great race on a superb course. The fast crowded start carried me through the first mile in 5.44 which was probably as fast as I've covered a mile before. The course was very muddy at parts, quite hilly and had an exposed straight about half way round where the head wind picked up a bit. Completed the first lap in just over 15 minutes and managed to hold on to that pace through the race. The third lap was a real effort but I had enough left to pass a few guys in the finish straight. 47.06 official time, 158th.

John Kynaston This was the first time I've ever done this race and even though it was tough I really enjoyed it. It was dry but very windy. To see some video clips of the run go to my post.

JulesR Quite keen not to be last Fetchie in the National as I was in the West District - any volunteers to help me out? **Update** It didn't rain, in fact it was quite a nice day. Muddy course and didn't go hard at all, so Pollard wasn't challenged this year! Met Jamborigg before the race but suspect he was well out in front during, Final position 306/398 so better than expected

RichyC Felt I had a decent race today without ever pushing myself to the limit. Think I paced this run better than previous 2 attempts at xc and that was confirmed when I fairly easily picked up the pace at various points in the final lap, particularly the last few mins. Garmin distance/time: 7.25miles - 49.51. Still haven't got round to getting appropriate xc footwear so ran this in my usual asics running trainers - def need to get a pair for next winter!
