jolguk Indeed it wasn't a PB course. The first few kilometres were really hard, as you just seemed to be constantly running up town centre hills, and missing the 5k mark was pretty disconcerting, as I thought I must be doing a personal worst time. And that hill up from the park was awful. But the out of town bit was pretty nice, the showers were really welcome, and the organisation was really good, apart from people not holding out the water at the water stations, and the tunnel starting so far from the finish line that someone I beat by miles got ahead of me for when they noted your finishing position.

JonD They warned it wasn't a PB course, and it wasn't. The climb out of Avenham Park was a killer, with about 1.5K to go.

kstuart Not a bad first 10K time espcially as its not flat and my calf was giing me a little trouble. Possibly doing a second 10k in 4/5 weeks time perhaps.
