Marigold 3rd Summer Time Trial this evening (3.5 mile undulating gravel tracks) and once again I finished 2nd to Williard! Finished in a time of 18:12 which was around 20 seconds better than last time so really pleased with the improvement. The time doesn't tell the full story though as my tactics this evening were to go out like a complete lunatic and hope my Zimbabwean friend didn't notice ( He tends to jog the first mile and then start making his way to the front). Went through the first mile in 4:51 ( It is slightly downhill!) It obviously went a bit pear-shaped after that with the next two mile splits being 5:30 (Uphill and tight corners) and 5:15 At one point just after 3 miles I thought I might have to DNF so really chuffed to keep it going to the end, hang on to 2nd place and end up with a better time than last time.
