CR1970 First race at this distance so wasn't sure what to expect. With the heat I would have been happy with a sub 41, so am very chuffed with sub 40 mins. Good race and plenty of support. Nice to meet Schnecke beforehand. Saw a couple of other fetchies in the distance as well.

fatface Twas a hot day which didn't affect my performance but the start is very congested and what made matters far worse was the age old problem of people lining up for the start in completely unrealistic positions. Have a look at the official results and you'll see runners finishing in 50 minutes who were across the start line in 15-20 seconds. I finished 15 seconds outside my pb in 37:21 and I took 40 seconds to cross the start , but it's well organised and there's some great support on route. I'll be back but I hope they do something about the start.

Footpad Oh it was HOT!!! First 2 miles I ran with 2 friends who were faster than me but got me off to a good start. I let them go in mile 3 as we went up the hill so I was 20 secs slower than them for that mile but I picked up and did 2 last miles at a very consistent 8.17 which was more than I hoped for!! and a PB my nearly 3 mins!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAHAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! Saw Schneke and another Fwetchie who was runiing with mp3 who could not hear me :-(

GD Phew - that was hot! Rescued a half-respectable time, with a 6:56 final mile which I was quite pleased (& surprised) about! Quite glad I didn't have to run any further today...

Jock Itch First ever 5miler. Should be a giraffe :) ***Update*** Enjoyed this one. First mile of 5:19 ! Whoops ! :-P but wasnt sure of my fitness levels. Today suggests that all is good. Lump on me for next week. I wont dissapoint :)

Keefy Beefy First ever 5M. Guaranteed to crash and burn attempting to run at 4:00/km 6:23/mile. ***UPDATE*** Even more shite than even I believed possible.

Mr Chops My first 5 miler since 1997 and a PB by 2+ minutes (only my third ever 5 miler though and the others were off road). Have never done this race before and look what I was missing out on - good venue, well organised, nice weather, flat route, great value - (£8 for best medal and goody bag I've ever had!) - puts many other race organisers to shame. Must do this race again.

Ramfan Try and knock off 14 seconds from last year. On a very hot day I was 2 seconds worse than last year

Schnecke Will be my first race at this distance, so anything will be a PB! Pleased with the time considering the conditions. Saw Footpad and Superted (but not Mrs ST unfortunately) and an incognito Mooster in the queue for the loos!

Sezz A PB by 2:34!!! Woohoo!! Flippin' hot day for a run and that was just at 9.30am. Bit congested at the start which held me up by 20 seconds but neverthelss I am well chuffed with my time of 43:41. Seems like that marathon training has really paid dividends. Lovely picnic in the park afterwards with Fatface and RickK :-)
