chunky Hoping to improve on the dissapointing performance in the Brighton 10k...felt better about this, a steady race. I think I need to follow a training schedule again Cyclists Touring Club 1:21:34 1:23:14 1:23:00 1:25:54 57.17
Cormorant Memo to self: if in search of PB - or at least of slowing inevitable decline - do not go to dinner with yr friend Stuart & stay up drinking 'til 2 am. Felt terrible in the last mile. A flat course but with two v. long & dispiriting switchbacks. Friendly event - people were encouraging even as they saw me retching. Cranleigh Tortoise & Hare Runners 1:15:16 1:15:16 1:18:41 61.88

eMpTy Weather was kinder than it might have as wind subsided a bit before the race was due to start. Ran with club mate both aiming to run between 7:10 and 7:15 pace. Except mile 9 ran a pretty consistent race and finshed in 1:11:53 by Garmin and 1:12:08 official. Happy bunny :o) Denmead Striders 1:10:55 1:12:08 1:13:00 1:12:08 67.50
gray First race for which I've been exhausted & out of breath before the start......and where the journey to the start from, and from the finish to, the car felt longer than the race itself, if you get my meaning......oh, and where was the sea, then? Must read race bumf before race next time. Cranleigh Tortoise & Hare Runners 1:25:02 1:35:47 1:40:29 47.64
MB99 :-). Very pleased. Set off a little quickly, ahem, going through 3 miles at around 5k pb pace. 5 in under 32 and 10k comfortably under 40 so pbs all the way. Felt pretty good for last few miles and didn't feel like collapsing in a heap at the end. Thanks to all the pb betters and other well wishers pre race :-) Unaffiliated 1:01:40 1:01:40 1:04:27 67.92
Minimag Will be the longest distance I have raced so for (my 3rd race). In training I have managed 15k, and I am told the course is relatively flat, so hopefully this wont be too much of a problem (fingers crossed!) - Did it!, used the garmin to pace me at 9min/mile and felt good at the end. Need to up the pace for next weeks 10k at Crowborough though Arunners 1:18:46 1:29:37 1:30:00 1:29:37 50.85

The Plodder I aimed to take it steadily after feeling so bad during the Gosport half, last week. Splits were not very different, though I felt much stronger. Better time than GSR despite the wind.

Splits: 9'17, 9'36, 9'38, 28'15 (didn't see mile markers)
9'44, 9'38, 9'19, 9'18

Must remember to wear HRM strap next time! Victory AC 1:33:17 1:35:03 1:35:03 53.72
