Bazoaxe 1st K was quick as planned, tough toil up the hill as expected, got to the flat section and planned to pick up pace, blowing a gale and feltlike I was running on the spot - hard hard hard work, couldnt even catch the guy 5 paces ahead of me to get shelter. Good time given the conditions but didnt make my 20 min target

biru A tough one due to ferocious wind!! Still somehow managed to improve my pb on this course by a couple of seconds from last month(when the weather was perfect):) Came 7th/8th overall...well was in 7th position at 5km mark by one second, and then got exactly the same 5.2km time as the guy who was in 8th but he was given 7th postion overall. Work that one out! Maybe because he is a VET?! Anyway, another good quailty race, and still seemingly making progress after some recent fairly heavy mileage weeks.
Great to see the pros in action afterwards. Did anyone see Bekele? Or did you blink. Man that guy can run!! Incredible stuff!!!

CPMINAS windy and difficult at times, but the views were stunning and the downhill finish allowed me a go at passing many other runners.

jp105 Was pleased with the run round Arthurs seat although the weather was quite bad. Came 11th overall which was good. Stuck around in the poor weather to see some really quick guys in the international Cross Country which was great.

sanddancer I'm expecting very little performance-wise after a succession of injuries. I thoroughly enjoyed this last year (even THAT hill!) and am hoping it can kick-start my running for the New Year. Definitely don't bet on me... I don't want to get on anyone else's blacklists! ;-) UPDATE: 2 days to go and it's very much touch and go whether I'll be lining up. The ankle's still giving me trouble and I'm doubtful that running 5k on it will really help matters! Whatever happens - DEFINITELY NO PB - DON'T BET!!!.... UPDATE: Had to pull out through injury :-( Right now walking's a challenge, never mind running!
