bedlam_g A good PB further progress but much harder work than Balloch 2 weeks ago. Aimed for a steady 6.10 pace but wasn’t expecting the headwind along the hillfoots which gradually ground me down and messed up my splits. It was a relief to finally turn towards the big hill where I was able to push up my pace for my fastest mile and a strong finish. Nice to meet Guiseppe, Siouxsie and Son of a Pronator Man well done on all the PBs.

Dvorak :-) :-) :-) First HM I have pace properly all the way through. Kept waiting for the collapse, but it never came. Knew the PB was in the bag at 11, even with the hill ahead. Lighter winds, and just the odd snow flurry this year. Enjoy the points, Fetch punters! (Chip time).

kyt don't know the course. ran ok at balloch so may get close to 1.30. i'm wearing my fleece and mittens given the forecast. UPDATE: pretty much perfect conditions for me. pb was on for 7 or 8 miles then i decided to go backwards. nasty wee hills at 11 and 12 sorted me out proper. top goodie bag and well supported. impressive set of pbs from fetchies!

McNomad oh dear, apologies for those who bet on me. I'm running out of excuses but does infection of area around extracted wisdom tooth count? I dare say running on antibioticvs isn't a great combo. Anyway the race and organisation was great, what a goodie bag! I'd heard about the hill at 11 but not the incline at 12!

Russell M Not expecting to beat my Balloch time from a couple of weeks ago but eventually came quite close to it over what seemed to be a far harder course. A couple of killer climbs towards the end, would have been useful to have been given the profile of the course in the race information. Lovely scenery throughout but the miles somehow seemed to drag by up till mile 10 when the light appeared at the end of the tunnel and I managed to pick up the pace. Good sprint finish which made me up a few extra places so was able to slip inside the top 100. Good race overall but would approach it differently next time knwoing the profile. Not a PB but I'd judge it as a better performance than Balloch. Made a huge mistake of using a fabric-backed plaster on one of my toes and ended up with horrific skin removal of the adjacent toes, not going to make that mistake again! :( :) :)

Siouxsie Entered :-) Time target due only to being challenged to beat fellow fetchy/club mate sloth's time from last year. Oh the pressure! *update* Got a massive PB which I am thrilled with. Really enjoyed the race and luckily the weather and 'the hill' weren't as bad as I was expecting. Can't believe I ran for 13 miles @ sub 8mm LOL

Son of a Pronator Man I will be making a serious effort to chalk off the sub 90m 1/2 marathon that I've promised myself this year.*update* A serious effort was made , not quite sub 90 but a good PB all the same.

SueW I plan to give this a good effort. Will see what effect the weather has though. **UPDATE - Managed 1:49:23 on my watch so no pb today. Apologies to all betters! An improvment of over 4m minutes on the last time I ran this though back in 2005. I managed a fairly steady pace throughout. I had hoped to up the pace in the second half but my legs didn't respond. they still felt teh effects of Friday's 11 miler!

The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye Last ran this in 00 in 1.47.36, not a good day if I remember. If the hill does not get me I will be looking to go under 1.40. Will need 2M wup and cd to make up my 17M for the day.
An improvement on my last outing here, but was still caught in two minds as to MP or go for it it, in the end in between. A bit worring though that I slipped to 8.22 pace about 10M considering in 5 weeks I will still have another 16 still to do at this point. Well done to all those with PB's

Waj Well pleased with my time, weather much better than expected. felt the pace at the 10 mile mark and had to slow down a bit. I think lack of long runs due to injury was the problem but who cares i managed it. Looking forward to next year.
