Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At it’s worst it was the size of a kiwi and quite hard. Blooming painful! Basically more or less clear now, thankfully

Big Drop stout tonight from Tesco - v tasty. I’ve got one of their IPA to try plus the hard to find n/a Adnams Ghost Ship (allegedly made with Citra hops)

I once got kicked on the knackers, by my ex wife. Long story. My right one swelled up to the size of a small Orange in minutes. I couldn't walk properly for nearly a week.

Painful.

I should try more shouts. Milk shouts appear to be a thing again.

I love stout / portery type beers - wether it’s a quaffleable mild at 3.5% or the mighty Sarah Hughes;it’s all good. I’ve got about another week on the meds but I’m thinking long and hard already what to have after what’ll be close to 50 days off the sauce - by far my longest spell ‘dry’ in 36 years pint

DT - Nanny state is good. Erdinger and Franzikaner are the best - the wheat overpowers the typical alcohol free aftertaste. Piston head is ok too. The 0.0% ones have the old alcohol free taste but the 0.5% ones are quite good. Becks is the best best of the generic lager versions.

Bud alcohol free tastes just like normal Bud so avoid...

Adnams do a couple - they used to sell sole star under M&S branding at 0.9%. That is pretty good too. I drink more than I should and swapping for alcohol free isn’t too much of a sacrifice. I would take a erdinger blue or franzikaner alcohol free over fosters, john smiths, bud, etc.

I will definitely have a few Erdinger and Franzis in the fridge next summer whether I’m drinking or not (today is day 40 ‘dry’)
