Whilst I can't prove it, I can only imagine he moved to work for Arkwright. * In truth he wasn't my ggggrandfather. He was my ggggrandmother's husband, but he died 18 months before my gggrandfather was born. That didn't stop my gggrandfather listing him as his father on all official records.
