Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks FF all great tactics and planning and pre race I’m pretty good now but still forget on training run.

The annoying thing is I had a nutritionalist work with me a couple of years ago as I was struggling big time. From then I’ve been much better & for race to the castle i did really well. I can eat real food and use active root. But since then it’s like I’ve forgotten everything and don’t even take water on runs unless it’s very long or it’s very hot. The upshot of that was Loch Ness struggling as even taking on water was hard and made me feel sick.

So I have to try harder the way she explained it today I’m hoping helps me to work harder at it. I feel absolutely dreadful today

Long training runs should be treated like races almost, so you know on race days you shouldn't have issues with hydration or fuelling.
I hope you feel better soon.

I do know this FF not sure why I’ve gone so far off doing this properly I didn’t fuel on the 17 2 weeks ago it affected me on the run but not afterwards I think I’ve just killed my reserves. I won’t forget in future.

Still feeling dreadful here beginning to think I’ve got a bug LFTs are negative. My cousins little boy had something similar on Xmas day. So no running today. Glad it’s only 0.40 I need to round up! Hopefully tomorrow I can potter round the block. But I love a NYE & NYD run.

Hope you soon feel better GG! Good that your LFT tests were negative.

Thanks 3Ms. I walked to the village this morning to test the knee and other aches and pains. I had to purchase a new parking clock for 2022, so it was a good reason to walk. Everything seems ok thankfully, but the pace was very slow 🐌

So that’s it my final run of the year and my highest mileage since 2006.

Well done everyone on all your achievements. It’s been another odd year and although I haven’t contributed much I have really enjoyed this thread so will hang around next, if that’s ok ?

GG I started with a coach in May and I don’t regret it at all.
