Once again, I had the honour of setting this months challenge and for once I managed to come with a themed list.
I am also pretty pleased that I managed to get all of my finds while on my 2-week holiday. First week in the Lakes and second week in Derbyshire.
Here we go -
1. Hill/Mountain
Spoilt for choice at Wasdale!
2. Wood/Forest
We come here all the time, so only seemed right to include it.
3. Public convenience
Ladies loo at Birchover.
4. Trig point
Not only the concrete pillars, but can include church towers, coms masts etc (check out the list on this very website!)
Anyway, Poppy helped with this one on Stanton Moor.
5. Boundary
Again, lots to choose from but i liked this one above Mosedale.
6. Bridge
A stone clapper bridge over the River Bradford, near Youlgreave.
7.Bridlepath.
Surprisingly uninspiring one, on a walk in Derbyshire. We didn't even go that way!
8. Youth Hostel
Gilberthwaite near Wasdale.
9. Telephone box
This one in Youlgreave still works!
10. Compass bearings.
Got lucky with this one at the harbour in Whitehaven.
Huzzah!
