In the last few years the local primary school have started using the woods featured yesterday for learning about the outdoors. For some years we've had decorated trees for Easter and Xmas, but now they clearly have some outdoor learning thrown in too. 
There is a tree stump circle for outdoor lessons (right outside rabbit's door if you see yesterday's blog)
with a couple of birdfeeders. There were no children yesterday, but this fellow stopped by. 
The newest venture is a bug hotel. It's only been in place for a few months so I suspect that there will have to be a maturing process before the bugs feel properly at home, but I'm sure I'd have been right into the idea as a primary school child!
