We have several narrow strips of woodland that were planted many years ago to divide the fields in the area south of the village. These are popular with dog walkers and have the feel of the countryside, despite being only a few metres wide in places. And feature regularly in my running regime.
Six or seven years ago someone decided to make the walk a bit more child friendly by turning it into the 100 Acre Wood. It doesn't quite follow the AA Milne map but it adds to the fun of a walk.
Heading south we first meet Pooh's residence, closely followed by Piglet Tigger is next up on the main path while Rabbit is off to one side in one of the wider parts of the wood while Kanga and Roo are nearby. Eeyore is right by the main path, and probably remains unhappy about the regular disturbance from walkers, dogs and my size 10 running shoes. . While Owl is appropriately high in a tree to oversee all the goings on It always entertains me seeing our little collection of doors
