I'm not sure what to make of that. What a run!
Thanks to Fetchie Sombrero for the PB Vest! It was rapido! Andale! Andale! I hope I did it proud.
43:20 chip time 10Km. This is a v40 PB.
4:20 pace exactly. Not wearing super shoes?!
21:40 @ 5km = Even Splits. Not quite a PB although the results have my 2nd half at 21:11 which is a PB! (Nuts)
It was chuffing cold beforehand. It was fine at race start though.
The thing is where did it come from?!
On 15 Nov I ran 21:25 on a twisty parkrun course flat out! This was best effort. Weight 89Kg.
On 3 Dec I ran 36:05 for 5 miles which according to Fetch calculator that is a 45:19 10Km. This was a best effort. 89Kg
On 23 Dec I ran 21:55 on a twisty parkrun course flat out! This was a strong effort. 91Kg
On 27 Dec I ran 47:12 for 10Km in a windy post-festive state. This was a strong almost maximal effort. XXKg?
I weighed myself this morning and I'm back up to 93Kg. I thought I'd lost 2Kg this week but a Kg has come back from somewhere. I was devastated. Nothing above suggest I could run a 5Km at almost best effort pace while carrying half a stone of extra lumber.
Looking at my recent training I went from no running in Oct for previous few months due to injury to about 20km per week through Nov and Dec. I can counter this progress though with last nights bloggage. I'm knackered.
This week:
41km run
78km bike
2x 30 min gym
1280m swim
Oh and used the last bottle of vino collapso on Monday.
Lots of Christmas cake, mince pies, and fuel!
Good selection at the race.
So anyway some good data. I'm looking forward to next week's training and going to sleep tonight.
Love the top colour! Right, what's next.
