I'm currently on hold with a chatbot, waiting to text with a real person and realised that I hadn't blogged for my own challenge.

Despite the late blog, there photos were taken in September, honest !

1. Leaves changing colour

2. Migrating birds
Needed a zoom for this one. Geese on the move.

3. Fruits for foraging

4. Flowering ivy

5. Falling seeds

6. Fungi

7. Early Halloween displays
I agree it was too early for home displays but the shops were obviously full. I particularly liked these battery operated dolls on rocking horses.

8. Sunset
Can hardly drive down this lane at a certain point in the day!

9. Mist
Or fog ? On the coast at Amble

10. Harvest Festival
From a local veg wholesaler. The nice colourful display certainly looks like a festival of produce.

Still on hold - apparently they are unusually busy today :-(

I was the usual skinny lad at school and hated cross country, even though I was quite good.
I discovered road cycling aged 21 and that has been my favourite sport ever since, but always with sporadic outbursts of running which was required for police fitness tests. In the 90's I ran the Great North Run a few times which was always done with only a few weeks build up. I discovered triathlon in my 40's and had to get the hang of swimming, then ticked off a bucket list objective when I finished Ironman UK in 2014. Now totally uninterested in swimming, the 2020 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have kind of made the decision for me to retire from tri and just focus on cycling for fun and looking forward to resuming parkruns for the social occasions.
