The July hunt was surrounding races or events duringthe month, the idea being to blog a trio of pics -
Before
During
After
I did a race and an event and of course have far more than 3 piccies!
RACE - Esk Valley/Dave Parry Summer Series: Inclined to Madness (fell race)
One of my faves and not too far away, involves a fast start on forest tracks, a MILE incline, section of Cleveland Way, short downhill and fast finish.
BEFORE - Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers Team Photo
DURING
Turning off the CW towards the final bit
Racing into the finish!
AFTER - Winning Ladies Team (doesn't include me, I'm not fast enough!)
EVENT - Afoot in 2 Dales, the LDWA Yorkshire 50
50 miles of self navigation round the Yorkshire Dales, lots of cake, lots of rain! 15hrs 53 mins to complete.
BEFORE - Our little gang ready for the off!
Cute foot-shaped tally!
DURING - Summit selfie on Shunner Fell, torrential rain started about 5mins later. Halfway point and highest point of route.
AFTER - Fry-up for all finishers!
Badge and certificate
I did do another race, the HSDRL Norman Smith Handicap, but no photos from that one, apart from -
AFTER - CAKE!
Thanks to um for setting this challenge, had fun with it
August looks challenging, I need to get my thinking cap on for that!
