Happily I did get my tax return in before the end of January (and even more happily it turned out that they owed me money). Not so successful with January's treasure hunt - but that correlates to a lack of running. Anyway, here goes...
1. A punny sign
One of Sandy's two chip shops.
2. A famous person
One of Sandy's four (ish) Indian restaurants, right next to the chip shop.
3. Soap Opera
Weavers Green was a British television soap opera, made in 1966 for ITV by Anglia Television. It was notable for being one of the first television programmes to be shot on location using videotape and outside broadcast equipment, rather than film, as had usually been the case for non-studio shooting until this point. It provided an early TV role for Kate O'Mara as a student vet. 49 half hour episodes were produced. (Shamelessly copied and pasted from wikipedia).
4. New Life
The ubiquitous snowdrops.
5. White stuff
Some man made white stuff caught in the hedgerow (despite looking like toilet paper I think it's agricultural packaging).
And some natural stuff growing on a tree stump on Sandy Heath.
6. Leaves
Old ones left over from last year.
And new ones just emerging.
7. Animal Track
On the wall of the Wood Green animal charity shop.
8. Lock
Possibly the world's most pointless lock. On a gate, with no fence either side of it, that's a foot away from another fence, without a gate.
9. My favourite
...place to run locally - round the RSPB nature reserve.
10. An interesting number plate
When Virgin Media retired our old @ntlworld e-mail address forcing the choice of a new one, Mrs J shocked our children by using her name followed by 69 - the year of her birth. "Err mum, you do know what that means don't you..."
