This seemed to be the easiest challenge from the new 2023 ones.

5001 situps, 50 fruit/veg, 50 new albums - nah.

50 beers - yes please!

I generally have no brand loyalty and go with whatever is on sale. Dan Murphys is the national bottle shop who have regular member deals (we don't have an alcohol aisle in the supermarkets).

As you can see, we have smaller cans. There's also a trend of changing the 6 pack size to 4 packs, whilst charging similar money. A slab (24 cans) remains the best value option. And, alcohol is sooooo much more expensive over here!

I clearly like hoppy beer, anything PA and I'm there!

IPAs
Dainton Beer - Overdrive - West Coast IPA - 355ml - 7.0%
Colossal Brewing - Mind Harvest - East Coast IPA - 375ml - 6.0%
Bent Spoke Brewing Co. - Crankshaft IPA - 375ml - 5.8%
Zytho Brewing - Hemp IPA - 375ml - 6.0%

Pales
Moon Dog - Lemon Haze XPA - 330ml - 5.0%
Young Henrys - Newtowner Australian PA - 375ml - 4.8%
Mornington Peninsula Brewery - Pale - 375ml - 4.7%

Others
Mountain Goat - Aussie Wheat Beer - 375ml - 4.2%
4 Pines Brewing Company - Aussie Wheat Ale - 375ml - 4.7%
Litte Creatures - Ancient Traveller Ethiopian Black Barley Stout - 375ml - 6.0%

The IPAs remain my favourite but I was pleasantly surprised by the stout which I found last night in the bargain bin for $7 for a 4 pack. The wheat beers have been pushed the last week or so, not bad.

I started running in 2006 after a drunken sign up to the Bristol HM. The rest, they say, is history.....
