Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Too many musical theatre shows and a twisted ankle meant not much running in March - so I'm a bit late with this March's treasure hunt. But here we go with number 26...

1. A hero

Captain Sir William Peel - son of Sir Robert Peel (former PM and founder of the modern police force). Commemorated in a mosaic on the wall of a school in Sandy. Just opposite the pub that also bears in name. Awarded a VC for various heroic deeds.

2. A grave

Lots to choose from in Brookwood cemetery. Taken during an early morning run while visiting older daughter in Guildford. Rubbish photo - but I was stretching to take it over a wall.

3. Non--human footprint

The cows seem to have moooved out of this field for now, but they have left some footprints behind.

4. Detective

Lots of detectives in here if you're a 90s TV fan.

5. The largest number you can find outdoors (no gaps, as in phone numbers)

Best I could do - from some kind of utility monitoring thing.

6. No one else will have a photograph like this

As it has me in it...

7. New life

Daffodils in Fisher's Hill woods near Woking - taken on the same run as the grave.

8. A Star

Climbing frame in someone's back garden poking over the fence and just catching the late afternoon sun.

9. Three consecutive letters (e.g. PQR)

R-S-T - reading right to left.

10. Was it a car or a cat I saw?
Jaguar on a car bonnet in Bedford.

Thanks for an interesting set of clues Chrisity.
