This year, as last, for day six Flying Scotsman set us the task of coming up with six targets for the future. It took me a while to dig out mine from last year, which I had hidden in the thread.
1. Complete 12 days of Fetchmas
2. Get swimming lessons to improve my front crawl by the end of 2021
3. Be the weight I am now on 1 Jan
4. Lost 3kgs by 1 JUne
5. Continue to do boot camp twice a week
6. Have at least one, and preferably two days a week when I do not do any work at all.
1. Done
2. I did try. Really quite hard. But no good. I think my front crawl is a bit better though.
3. Well, I achieved this by virtue of testing positive for Covid on 26th December
4. Nope
5. Nope. I fell off the boot camp wagon at some point in 2021 and am just climbing back on. Am aiming for once a week. Am struggling to get up for 7.15, plus don't really have space in the house to do it, so 9.30 is the time for me.
6. This I managed pretty well. Didn't stop work from breaking me, though.
2022 targets
1. Complete 12 days of Fetchmas
2. Do 30 days of yoga. As Badger, probably not in the 30 days
3. Have one day a week where I don't eat any chocolate
4. Remember which things are my circus and my monkeys and don't get involved or even think about those things which are not
5. 500 miles running - won't make this in 2021 but am not far off
6. I need a work one but I'm not sure what it should be or how to phrase it. Maybe work out a way to work that doesn't make me ill, or look for a new job.
Am struck by how many targets include weight loss or eating goals, including mine
