And three-quarters, because I hadn't noted exactly what I needed. Actually 800 km was the target that appeared, but doing a kilometre (in fact 200m was all required) seemed a bit short. Lowest ever yearly distance on Fetch, 21 km for the month (three parkruns and today) and no cycling at all this month for the first time in nearly eight years.
2018 hasn't been a classic and the tail end even less so. Nothing that major. Life is pretty easy really. Just a failure to make much of anything and lacking any proper problems, coming up with some. Too much sitting, not enough doing. Thoughts without positive actions.
My parents celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary and had a meal for friends and relatives. Went well. This month, my father was ninety. Quite a few visitors. So that was good, but ... he is deteriorating. Less able. Lacking in stimulation, and activity, but not, perhaps, all that bothered. And irascible. Hard to deal with, hard to help. But I react. Maybe he can't help it, but I should be able to.
Ach, misery me. There's folk with a lot worse, on here and out there. 2019. I'll have to engage with it a bit more. Get things done. Firstly though, I'd like to catch up on some of the sleep I've missed.
A guid New Year when it comes, Fetchland.

Have run on and off (and there has been a lot of off) for, ooh, decades. Never used to run far though. Accidentally did my first HM in November 06. Now in Nov 08, have finally cracked the sub-2 HM on the tenth attempt (though I had to go to Spain to do it). Never been fast, never will be, but I am still aiming for that top 38% finish.Update January 2010: Decided to run a little faster this year. It's about time. (And in fact took 3:21 off my 10K Nov 10, sub 50 at last.)
April 2011: Intend to set record bike month (on Fetch) and achieve 10 mile PB. Update: Bike - pass; 10 mile PB - fail.
June 2011: Having a break from training. You could say.
November 2011: Chasing shadows. Still, I bought another new bike.
November 2012: Pushing water uphill.
March 2013: The water may now be flowing in the correct direction.
August 2013: The water is all around the boat. But, where is the boat?
