Boycie Finished 4th in the end. Was third for a time on the first hill, dropped to 5th at one point and nearly caught 3rd place in a dramatic sprint finish - where I closed down about 250m in the last 2-3 minutes! It was my own fault as I walked a bit up one of the hills - still a good run and I definitely improved on the downhills a little - which weren't anywhere near as steep as the Beacon Batch - I also got stung to pieces by nettles - but apparently I am just bein a wuss. Good to see Diki and Impossible running and both seemed to enjoy themselves!!! Unaffiliated 39:33 62.18
Impossible is Nothing Entered this one on a whim despite shafted legs and hating hilly off-road races. Being non-standard distance, however, meant I could relax into it as a hard training run and actually quite enjoyed it. Nice run in the end with Boycie and a few Westbury guys around for drinks after. Legs coped OK (although probably a few minutes down on what I could do in good shape) and only made one wrong turn and only walked one tiny bit. Result 17th out of 76.
