Aitchbee WoooooHoooooo PB!!!!!! I thought I'd blown it all, it felt really hard going and when I looked at my watch a couple of times it looked like I was going too slowly to even get close to 35 minutes. My watch was obviously lying as I've just knocked about 30 seconds off my PB :)

Andy 1 shoe Money i ran on tired and heavy legs due to my new training schedule,so i was fairly happy to break 19 mins.18.56. finished in 5th place overall so happy with that,i missed my mate pushing me on today,get well soon mate..

jdc Big mistake today - missed the start of the race as I was talking. On my own watch this was a 5k pb of 27.38 but official records say my time was 29.02. Have learned my lesson and it wont happen again - gutted!!!

About this parkrun

2 laps of wide undulating perimiter paths of War Memorial Park. Good surface and deceptively fast course. Plenty of free parking in Park and ride car park. Toilets don’t open till 8.45. Play area and visitor centre cafe.

Two lap tarmac course. Very popular event and a quick time is possible. No big climbs but some long drags can drain your time.

Two undulating laps on tarmac in Coventry Memorial Park. The route is pleasant and takes in most of the park and its environs. Good car parking which is good because it gets busy!

Very busy and congested at the start with a sharp 90° turn. All tarmac paths so good if its raining.

The route changes from time to time - now starts and finishes nearer the main car park and if you start around the expected finish signs for 28 or 30, it'll take 30-40 seconds to cross the line. Still a good course though. Route updated.

Fantastically well organised,loads of signs at the start. 1km from train,great cafe.

flat,good tarmac surface,PB course

Congested second lap for faster runners weaving between inconsiderate slower runners (as slow we ran wide off the racing line).

Nice parkrun with great volunteers, very well attended, nice fairly flat two lap course in a park
